The Price of Gasoline

I watched the news the price of gasoline has skyrocketed. Japan does not have crude oil, so people may be getting more concerned about the matter. I also concerned about the curious matter and I read a article about natural gases.       CEO said natural gas would work alongside green energy to provide "a stable electricity supply". They set a goal to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. Natural gases are very important because it will work with renewables to provide us with a stable electricity supply. I would like to pay close attention to the future trends of that.

Beauty and Physical Attractiveness

I listened to a podcast about beauty and physical attractiveness. First, some multilingual speakers talked about the advantages and disadvantages of multilingual speakers. One person said using formal grammar academically is very difficult. Another people said being capable of speaking some languages is a benefit. I thought the advantages outweighed the disadvantages because  they would have many privileges.      Then, they talked about beauty and physical attractiveness. One people focused on symmetrical faces and another people focused on aura or vibes. So, opinions vary from person to person. One person said smile is more important than good looking, and her word was impressing to me.

Scientific American Seeking Certainly on Climate Change

I read an article about climate change. They discussed how much is enough to prevent global warming. Glaciers are dying because of temperature rise and we have to work on mitigation of        It explained about large assessments consume huge amounts of scientific time and energy. changes in climate are very marked these days and should scientists continue to improve climate models so that we can better understand climate feedbacks and forecast the effects of our interventions? Declare victory and pass the baton to the experts in the social, economic questions to finding and implementing effective solutions to the climate crisis.

The Glasgow Climate Conference

I was curious about agreement in the COP26 and I read an article about that. Therefore, I’d like to outline the contents. Also, I’ll write what I thought about that.           Although not legally binding, the agreement sets the global agenda on climate change for the next decade. For the first time at a COP conference, countries pledge explicit plan to reduce use of coal. Its plan is responsible for 40% of annual CO2 emissions. However, countries agreed weaker commitment to phase down rather than phase out. Coal consumption by China and Indonesia is one reason for this, but I think we must give importance to new energy than consumption. The US and China pledged to cooperate more over the next decade in areas including methane emissions and the switch to clean energy. In this way, one country have to corporate with another country, I think.

Vancouver Storm

I read an article about Vancouver storm, so I’d like to make a summary. In Canadian western province, a state of emergency was declared in the region. The storm hit overnight on Sunday. The Canadian Armed Forces have been developed to help stranded residents.       The cause of heavy storm was air charged with moisture. A long strip of moisture that transform water from tropical areas to poles dumped rainfall. It rained monthly rainfall average in 24 hours. The data shows really serious affairs, I think. I hope they can restore the city quickly.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

One movie that I liked was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It was made in US and Timothy Walter Burton directed it. This is a movie made in 2005, so I watched it many times when I was child.       This is a story about mysterious sweets factory. Most of the people are allowed to enter the factory. One day, one announcement was made. Only 5 people who get gold ticket in the chocolate packet were allowed to enter there!       I liked this movie because the story developed in unexpected direction with 5 gests. They had a very personality and caused some troubles. Also, I really liked world building of the movie. It was really funny, so you should watch it too!

What Has Been Agreed at Climate Conference?

Last time, I wrote about a news; the UK has been hosting the COP26 summit. I read new article about that. So I would like to share its content. Then, what has been agreed at COP26? It asks countries to republish their climate action plans with more ambitious reduction targets. In detail, 200 countries are asked for their plans to cut emissions by 2030. The text emphasizes the need for developed countries to increase the money to those countries suffered by climate change. I think we have to reach both financial support and realistic aims.
